To coincide with Catholic Schools week – 31st January to 6th February in our school and parish, we intend celebrating Grandparents afternoon in our school. Parents, grandparents, family, all Carers and friends are welcome to come and visit. Children without grandparents are very welcome to invite a significant person from their life as a substitute.
Friday 4th - children go home at 12.30pm to facilitate staff meeting
Monday 7th - Confirmation meeting with Fr. Muredach Tuffy in Crossmolina N.S. at 8pm. All parents of children making confirmation are requested to attend.
24th & 25th - no school – midterm break
PHOTOCOPYING It is this time of year again when we ask you for the annual fee for photocopying. The cost is €10 per child and €20 per family. Please send the appropriate amount in an envelope (with your child’s name marked on the outside) to Class Teacher before Friday 11th February. Cheques should be made payable to Crossmolina N.S.
NEW ENTRANTS SEPTEMBER 2011: If you have a child (or know of a child) who wishes to enroll in our school for next year please send in his/her details or contact the Office at 31768.
CASH FOR CLOBBER – bags can be left at any time in the ‘rainbow shed’.
PEACE PROMS CONCERT – TF Castlebar on Sunday 13th February at 3pm. Bus will depart Crossmolina at 11am. Pupils should let their teacher know in advance in they intend returning home on the bus. Pupils must wear a plain white round neck t-shirt and school trousers and shoes.

SOUTH PACIFIC MUSICAL BY GORTNOR ABBEY
Tuesday 25th - 4th, 5th and 6th will go to the matinee performance of this Musical. They will walk to and from it. Admission is £3. Children should bring their own drink and snack. Full uniform.
PEACE PROMS CONCERT - 4th, 5th, 6th
Rehearsal on Tuesday 25th January in TF Castlebar. Bus leaves at 9.10am and pick-up time 12.30p.m. No charge for bus as school and Parents Association paid for it.

JANUARY 2011 NOTICE
Welcome back everybody - wishing you all a very happy and prosperous New Year.
1. SWIMMING - Eventually second and third class got to start their 6 week session today.
2. HOMEWORK CLUB - resumed this week - Monday to Thusday 3pm to 4pm. 2euro per day.
3. TRADITIONAL MUSIC WITH ANGELA DEANE - enrolment Monday 17th at 3pm in Halla and class 3.15pm to 4.15pm. 35euro for 10 classes payable at enrolment. Please ensure that Angela has your contact number so as to enable her contact you in the event of a class being cancelled or changed. For further information contact Angela 087 2166963.
4. PEACE PROMS CONCERT (4th, 5th,6th) - in TF Royal Theatre on February 13th. Our pupils are singing at the 3pm concert. Tickets are available on www.ticketmaster.ie and cost 12.50
5. BE AWARE OF THE SYMPTOMS OF FLU - Our main concern at the start of this school term is of course to help prevent the spread of the seasonal influenza. As there is no extra funding for school supplies we are asking each child to bring in their own individual towel and anti-bacteria gel and tissues in a plastic bag (a small face-towel will suffice). The school will supply the soap.
