Crossmolina N.S. Play Chess.
Last Thursay May 6th, Templemary National School came to Crossmolina in a long awaited chess challenge. Twenty students from Templemary played numerous games against the chess players in our school. In total over forty players from our school took part, and over one hundred games of chess were played. Children from second to sixth class participated.
It was an excellent learning experience for our players, as we had not played competitively apart from our own school competitions, and the players from Templemary posed a tough challenge, under the expert guidance of Mr. Dunford.
We would like to thank Mr. Dunford and the children who came to play us. It was a very enjoyable experience!
